Competition Theme Future Home: Future Furniture Design Competition With the rapid advancement of technology and the rise of sustainability, furniture design is entering a new era of possibilities. We invite designers from around the world to participate in creating furniture designs that reflect future lifestyles. Your work should integrate smart technologies, sustainable materials, and modern aesthetics to explore how furniture can balance functionality and beauty, enhancing the quality of home life. This competition aims to inspire innovative thinking, push the boundaries of furniture design, and provide smart, eco-friendly, and comfortable solutions for future homes. Submission Requirements 1. Design Requirements Future-Oriented: The design should reflect thoughtful exploration of future living scenarios, incorporating smart technologies, sustainable materials, or unique functionality to meet the needs of future homes. Innovation: Original and creative designs are encouraged, pushing the boundaries of traditional furniture forms and functions. Functionality & Aesthetics: The design must be both practical and visually appealing, suitable for modern or future households. Sustainability: Preference will be given to designs that emphasize eco-friendly, recyclable, and low-carbon materials. Submission Content Design Renderings: Rendered images (front, side, top views, and effect visuals); Sketches (optional); Detail images (material descriptions, functional demonstrations, etc.). 3D Model Files: Upload 3D model files (supported formats: .obj, .fbx, .3ds, .stl). Files should be clear and complete for evaluation and presentation. Design Description Document: Design name; Concept and design description (300-500 words); Material choices, functional features, and innovative technical highlights; Explanation of how the design addresses future home needs. Eligibility Open to global designers, design students, and design enthusiasts. Participants can join as individuals or teams (up to 5 members per team). Submissions must be original and unpublished, and must not have won awards in other competitions. Prize Distribution The total prize pool is 5,000 dollar, distributed as follows: Host's Choice (60% of total prize) 1-3 winners will be selected by the organizers based on creativity, theme alignment, and usability. If one winner is selected, they will receive the full 3,000; if multiple winners are chosen, the prize will be divided equally. Most Liked Entry (25% of total prize) The participant whose submission receives the most likes on the platform will win this prize. Participants are encouraged to share and promote their work to increase exposure and likes. Expert Selection (15% of total prize) Selected by invited industry experts based on technical depth and artistic value. The prize will be equally shared among the selected entries. Intellectual property rights remain with the designer; the platform retains the right to display and promote the submissions. Plagiarism or infringement will result in disqualification. Participants must ensure their work is authentic and original.
